If you're reading this, you probably already have Claude open in another tab. You've connected a few MCP servers. You've built dashboards inside artifacts, iterated on layouts in conversation, and pulled live data into a chat without uploading a single CSV. That part is working.

So this isn't a "what is Claude" post. It's a post about where Querri fits in a workflow you're already running.

The short version: Claude is excellent at reasoning, layout, and narrative. Querri is built for the data work behind the dashboard. MCP is what turns the two of them into a single workflow instead of a tab-switching problem.


Where Claude Already Earns Its Keep

The harder question is what the rest of the stack looks like when one of those Claude prototypes needs to become something a leadership team relies on.

For most teams, that means three jobs Claude wasn't designed for:

  • Joins across messy business data — CRM exports, support tickets, GA4, spreadsheets, finance systems
  • Repeatable Python analysis that doesn't drift between weeks or break after a reorg
  • A live, automatable, shareable dashboard with role-based permissions and audit logs

That's the gap Querri fills. MCP is how the two tools meet without stepping on each other.

The Mental Model: Orchestration vs. Execution

The reason this split works is that it actually matches each tool's strengths.

Anthropic's own engineering guidance is unusually direct on this. Their docs warn that loading too many tool definitions and shuttling large intermediate results through the model creates context bloat, higher cost, and more places for things to go wrong. The recommended pattern is to filter data before it reaches the model and execute heavy logic in one step.

In plain language: don't make Claude do the analytical work in-session. Hand the heavy lifting to a system that's designed for it, then let Claude do what it's actually good at — interpret, narrate, and structure for a human audience.

The Token Math

There's a practical version of the same argument that every Claude power user notices eventually: tokens.

Running analytics inside a Claude conversation means every rerun re-reads the data into context. A 50,000-row CSV uploaded to a chat pays for input tokens once. Asking the same question with a different filter pays again. Iterating on the dashboard pays again. Following up next week pays again from scratch — the file is gone, so the data has to come back. For teams running this regularly, the bill stops looking small.

Here are the patterns I see most often when teams start running Querri + Claude together. Most of these probably map to something on your roadmap already.

Executive dashboard drafting

A leader opens Claude and types something like:
