CrateDB + Querri

CrateDB reporting your operations team can use

Querri reads the CrateDB tables you pick, such as machine readings or event logs, copies them into its Library and answers questions about them without SQL.

Querri only reads from CrateDB and never changes your records. SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and ISO 27001:2022 certified, and your data is never used to train a model.

What you can answer

Questions teams ask about their CrateDB data

What is uptime by site this month?

CrateDB's Admin UI answers in SQL, which most plant and operations managers do not write. Querri tracks uptime as a KPI from the synced readings and breaks it out by site.

KPIs

Do sites with more sensor alerts also have more open work orders?

Sensor data in CrateDB and work orders in a maintenance system rarely meet without an export. Querri reads both into one Library, so a single question compares them.

The Library

Can managers get the weekly downtime summary automatically?

Otherwise someone runs the same queries each Monday and pastes the results into an email. Querri builds the summary from the synced tables and sends it as a scheduled report.

Reports & automation

What comes over

What Querri reads from CrateDB

Querri copies this data into your Library on a schedule, next to every other system you connect, so one question can draw on all of it.

  • Tables
  • Views
  • Schemas

Incremental syncs

After the first load, each scheduled sync brings in only rows that are new or changed since the last one.

Read only

Querri reads from CrateDB and never creates, edits or deletes anything there. Every answer runs on Querri's own copy.

Who sees what

Querri's own sharing and row-level access decide who sees which rows, in chat, dashboards, Claude, ChatGPT and the API.

How to connect

Connect CrateDB to Querri

  1. 1

    Ask the Connector Agent

Say "connect CrateDB" or pick it from the connector catalog.

  2. 2

Sign in or add your credentials

Enter the cluster host, the HTTP port (4200), a user and password in the secure form, and the schema to read, which is doc unless you use another. Keep TLS on for CrateDB Cloud; turn certificate validation off only for a self-hosted cluster with a self-signed certificate.

  3. 3

    Choose what to bring in

Pick the data you want and how often it refreshes, then approve the first load.

  4. 4

    Ask your first question

The data lands in your Library, ready for chat, dashboards and scheduled reports.

FAQ

CrateDB and Querri: common questions

How do I connect CrateDB to Querri?

Ask the Connector Agent for CrateDB and enter the host, port 4200, user and password. CrateDB Cloud needs TLS, which is on by default. Then pick the schema, doc unless your tables are in another one, and select the tables to bring in.

What does Querri read from CrateDB?

Querri lists the tables and views in the schema you name and copies the ones you select, keeping their column types. CrateDB's sys, information_schema, pg_catalog and blob schemas never appear in the list.

How often does CrateDB data refresh?

Pick a schedule per table. For readings and logs that only grow, an incremental sync on a timestamp column fetches just the new rows hourly, daily or weekly. Smaller reference tables can reload in full daily, weekly or monthly.

Does Querri connect to CrateDB over the PostgreSQL port?

No. Querri connects through CrateDB's HTTP endpoint, port 4200 by default, so that port needs to be reachable from Querri. TLS is on by default and checks the server certificate unless you turn validation off for a self-signed cluster.

Does Querri change anything in CrateDB?

No. Querri only reads from CrateDB. It never creates, edits or deletes records there, and every answer runs on Querri's own copy of the data.

Is my CrateDB data secure in Querri?

Yes. Querri is SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and ISO 27001:2022 certified, credentials are stored encrypted, and your data is never used to train a model.
