Pricing

A low seat price, and a credit pool for the heavy work

ChatGPT's seat is one of the best values in software, and plenty of the work people do in it needs nothing more. The costs that grow are the advanced features past each seat's limits, and the foundation that makes answers on business data right.

How ChatGPT is billed

  • Business Standard seats are $20 a user a month billed annually, or $25 monthly, with a 2-seat minimum. Premium seats, with 5x more usage, are $100 ($125 monthly).
  • Each seat has included limits. Past them, usage draws on an optional shared credit pool; if it's empty, "the feature is blocked" until an owner adds credits. Credits last 12 months.
  • OpenAI's rate card prices features in credits: about 10 for a reasoning message, 30 for agent mode, 50 for deep research, and 5 to 25 for a workspace agent run.
  • Instant messages, search, file upload and canvas don't use credits, so everyday chat stays inside the seat price.
  • Enterprise prices aren't published. One procurement write-up reports $45 to $75 a seat, and notes "OpenAI has never confirmed it."
  • On token-based Enterprise agreements, usage is separate from seat fees and invoiced monthly after the fact. Spend alerts help, but "an alert does not increase a budget."

When per-seat pricing is the better deal

If your team uses AI all day for writing, research, code and one-off analysis, a $20 seat is excellent value, and Querri doesn't replace it. The seat price stays good as long as someone sets usage alerts on the credit pool and decides who gets Premium seats. Querri is an addition for the numbers the business repeats, not a substitute for the assistant.

How the connection works

  1. On ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, an admin adds Querri as a custom MCP server and publishes it for the workspace. OpenAI supports this on ChatGPT web.

  2. Each person signs in with their own Querri account, so ChatGPT sees only what that person can see in Querri, including row-level access policies.

  3. Answers come from the Library, and Querri's dashboards and charts render inside the chat. ChatGPT can then write up the result or act on it with its own tools.

  4. MCP is included on every Querri plan, including Free. Querri never trains a model on your data, and ChatGPT business plans don't train on yours by default.

Should I replace ChatGPT with Querri?

No. ChatGPT is a general assistant for writing, research, code and quick analysis, and it's very good at all of them. Querri is the shared understanding of your business data: your sources, your definitions, dashboards and checked answers. Querri works inside ChatGPT, so most teams keep both.

How much does ChatGPT Business cost?

Standard seats are $20 per user per month billed annually, or $25 monthly, with a 2-seat minimum. Premium seats, with five times the usage, are $100 a month billed annually ($125 monthly). Heavier use of advanced features can draw on an optional pool of credits the workspace buys.

How much does ChatGPT Enterprise cost?

OpenAI doesn't publish Enterprise prices. Procurement write-ups report $45 to $75 per seat per month, a figure OpenAI hasn't confirmed. New and replacement Enterprise agreements can use token-based billing, where usage across Chat, Work and Codex is invoiced monthly, separately from seat fees.

What happens when ChatGPT Business credits run out?

Each seat has included limits for advanced features. Past them, people draw on the workspace's shared credit pool. If the pool is empty, the feature is blocked until a workspace owner adds credits, and owners can turn on automatic recharge and usage alerts. Everyday chat with Instant, search and file upload doesn't use credits.

Can ChatGPT analyze Excel and CSV files?

Yes. It reads spreadsheets, CSV, JSON and PDFs, writes and runs Python, and returns tables and charts. Spreadsheets are limited to roughly 50 MB depending on row size, with 80 uploads every 3 hours. Querri takes files up to 2 GB and connects to the systems they were exported from, so the analysis doesn't start with an export each time.

Why does ChatGPT give different answers to the same data question?

Each chat works the analysis out fresh, and the model can choose a different method, filter or definition each time. Users on OpenAI's forum have reported different results from the same file. Querri answers from definitions taught once in the Library, and a saved answer replays the same query on new data.

Is ChatGPT accurate for business data analysis?
